M365 SMEs | Active Directory (AD) & Entra ID Migration Specialist
FT - Direct hiring w/benefits
Open to hire within US (no Visa hiring)
Our team is growing and we are looking to add M365 SME with Active Directory (AD) & Entra ID Migration Specialist experience. Position is open to hire anywhere within US and will need some travel. We are unable to hire anyone on H1B, H4 EAD and OPT STEM EAD as of now. NO C2C or C2H please.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead AD to Entra ID Migrations: Plan and execute migrations from on-premises Active Directory to Microsoft Entra ID (formerly Azure AD), including hybrid identity configurations using Azure AD Connect (Entra Connect).
  • Manage Tenant-to-Tenant Migrations: Oversee Microsoft 365 cross-tenant migrations (e.g., Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), ensuring seamless identity and data transitions.
  • Hybrid Identity Management: Maintain synchronization between on-prem AD and Entra ID, troubleshoot sync issues, and manage trust relationships and federation (e.g., AD FS).
  • Microsoft 365 Integration: Ensure Azure AD identities are properly integrated with M365 services, including user provisioning, licensing, and access control.
  • Identity Security & Authentication: Implement and manage MFA, Conditional Access, SSO, and modern authentication protocols in line with Zero Trust principles.
  • Post-Migration Support: Serve as the escalation point for identity-related issues, provide documentation, and support IT teams with troubleshooting and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience:
  • Deep expertise in Active Directory (AD DS, DNS, GPOs, replication, trusts).
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), including hybrid identity and Azure AD Connect.
  • Proven track record in AD and Microsoft 365 tenant-to-tenant migrations.
  • Familiarity with M365 services (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive) and their identity dependencies.
  • Proficiency in PowerShell scripting and use of migration tools (e.g., Quest, ShareGate, BitTitan).
  • Solid understanding of authentication protocols (Kerberos, SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect).
  • Experience with identity security, MFA, Conditional Access, and RBAC.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
