Job description

General Summary The goal of the internship positions is to give as many individuals as possible valuable work experience and exposure to the field of Extension while providing valuable assistance to the University of Wyoming, Campbell County 4-H program. Essential Duties and Responsibilites Work with 4-H/Youth Educator on the following events, but not limited to: Summer- Sewing Conference, Horse, 4-H Camp, Summer Day Camp, County & State Fairs School Year- afterschool programs, Cloverbuds, Chili Bingo, Children's Festival Minimum Qualifications Job Specifications: Valid Wyoming Driver's License. Defensive Driving Certificate of Completion.

Must no longer be enrolled in the 4-H Program in Campbell County (preferred). Must have graduated from High School or GED program (preferred). Must pass 4-H Volunteer Leader Certification training.

Position is flexible, but there are specific dates, times, weekends, and overnights in which to work. Competencies for Successful Performance of Job Duties Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics: Knowledge of 4-H program. Self-guided, organized, effective communication, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to move up to 50 pounds regularly. Work on the Internet & Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, and Power Point). Great Attitude is a Must.

Characteristics, Duties and Responsibilities Help conduct educational programs, coordinate publicity and promotion of programs, prepare materials, utilize a budget, and organize volunteers. Prepare articles, advertisements, and other forms of written communication that are relevant to particular educational programs or activities. Design educational materials for use in programs including written material, audio/visual materials, and publications.

Maintain confidentiality of office, volunteers, and youth. Work with a variety of volunteers or organizations to provide programming. Provide leadership roles in providing safe transportation and accommodation arrangements for volunteers and participants in educational events.

Chaperone youth on trips/events and adhere to all policies and guidelines. Overnight Chaperones are applicable starting at 21 years of age. Any other duties as seen as pertinent by 4-H/Youth Educator(s).
