Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift: 12 hours (7 PM - 7:30 AM)
Experience: Minimum of 2 years in Level 1 trauma experience; travel experience preferred (at least 1-2 assignments)
License: Current nursing license
Certifications: BLS (must be AHA)
Must-Have: Scrub and circulate experience preferred; able to navigate neuro, trauma, pediatrics, transplants, procurements
Description:
BLS certification from AHA is required.
Scrub and circulate experience is preferred.
A minimum of 2 years of experience in Level 1 trauma cases is required.
Candidates must be able to navigate neuro, trauma, pediatrics, transplants, and procurements.
Typical overnight trauma operating room cases are expected.
Travel experience of at least 1-2 assignments is preferred; first travel assignment applicants will not be considered.
Weekend expectations include working 2-3 shifts during a 6-week schedule period (Saturday or Sunday, not both).
At least 1 holiday shift is required.
The operating room runs 28 rooms with an average of 60-80 cases per day.
Scrubs are provided.
Weekend shifts usually involve running 5 to 6 rooms on Saturdays and urgent cases in 4 rooms on Sundays.
Night shift may include supporting emergency needs in other operating rooms.
On-call obligations are not applicable for night shifts.
Candidates must have Epic access with OpTime modules needed.
Neonate and pediatric experience is preferred, as well as trauma experience.
