Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the Trauma ICU is responsible for providing optimal patient care utilizing nursing knowledge and skills throughout the entire episode of care. This position involves comprehensive nursing services to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients, including their families and caregivers. The nurse will coordinate care, ensuring the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care meets clinical excellence standards.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized patient care in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
  • Care for a variety of trauma and surgical patient populations, including those with spinal cord injuries, TBIs, and solid organ injuries.
  • Perform assessments, plan interventions, and evaluate patient outcomes.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of age-specific competency standards for patients.
  • Engage in continuous professional growth and learning.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
  • Minimum of 2 years of Trauma ICU experience required.
  • NV RN license required prior to start.
  • Certifications: BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NIHSS (APEX).
  • CCRN certification strongly preferred.
