  • NETA Level 3 or Level 4 certification preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of field service experience in transformer assembly or related heavy industrial equipment.
  • Experience with OEM equipment from ABB, Siemens, GE, or similar manufacturers preferred.
  • Experience with OLTCs (e.g., Reinhausen, ABB, Siemens) and transformer oil processing equipment is a strong plus.
  • Knowledge of transformer monitoring systems installation and commissioning.
  • Familiarity with transformer core and coil assembly, gasket installation, bolt torquing procedures, and bushing handling.
  • Basic understanding of electrical safety practices and standards (e.g., NFPA 70E, IEEE standards).
  • Ability to read technical documentation and interpret complex diagrams and manuals.
  • Strong technical reporting and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to work under pressure during commissioning.
  • Valid Driver's License required; CDL-A preferred.
  • Ability to travel up to 70%, including overnight stays.
  • Willingness to work weekends, overtime, and extended shifts when needed.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including operating rigging/lifting equipment and working in varying field conditions.
  • Ability to lift and move transformer components and associated equipment as required by the job site.

Safety Requirements
  • PPE & Compliance: Strictly adhere to all site safety protocols and wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times (e.g., safety glasses, hearing protection, steel-toed boots).
  • Hazard Awareness: Proactively identify, report, and mitigate potential workplace hazards or unsafe conditions.
  • Standards: Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and internal safety training.
