Job Summary: The Foreman is responsible for overseeing all aspects of wireless tower construction and maintenance at assigned job sites.  This role leads field crews in the installation, troubleshooting, and repair of wireless infrastructure, while ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with customer and Company standards.  This position is a hands-on leader who coordinates resources, provides training and mentorship to technicians, and ensures job sites operate smoothly from start to finish. 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
       Supervise daily activities of tower crews, ensuring safety, quality, and productivity on all projects
       Climb and perform work on communication towers and elevated structures up to 500 feet, as required
       Serve as a safety leader on-site, ensuring all crew members follow safety protocols and participate in meetings and briefings
       Lead the installation, testing, and maintenance of antennas, radios, hybrid cables, connectors, and mounts
       Interpret construction documents and RF specifications; ensure accurate and complete installation per scope
       Manage job site logistics, materials, schedules, and documentation
       Perform and oversee advanced testing and troubleshooting, including sweep, fiber, and PIM testing
       Ensure proper rigging and hoisting techniques are followed; inspect equipment and tools for safe use
       Conduct quality assurance checks and ensure all work is completed according to customer and company standards
       Supervise the tracking of on-site inventory and materials, and refresh project supplies as needed
       Maintain and inspect rigging, hoisting, and climbing equipment to ensure proper use and safety
       Maintain open communication with management regarding job status, issues, and changes
       Complete required documentation accurately, including daily reports, job safety observations, quality checklists, and site photos
       Maintain and organize tools, equipment, and vehicles
       Maintain a clean and organized job site, ensuring all tools, materials, and waste are properly handled and disposed of Train, mentor, and evaluate tower technicians at all levels  
       Travel regularly to job sites, which may include overnight stays
       Other duties as assigned
 
Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skills, and/or ability required.
 
Education: High school diploma, general education degree (G.E.D.), or related trade school education
 
Experience:
       Five years of experience in wireless tower construction, maintenance, or field services
       Two years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role
       Demonstrated ability to lead crews and deliver high-quality work on schedule and within budget   
       Competent Climber/Rescue Certification from an accredited institution
       OSHA 30 Construction Training Card
       First Aid and CPR Certification
       Competent Rigging and Hoisting Certification
       Other relevant certifications may be required as per the scope of work being performed (i.e. NWSA Certification, Hazcom Certification, Blood Born Pathogen Certification, RF Safety Certification etc.)
 
Technical Skills:
       Computer and Microsoft Office proficiency
       Expert knowledge of wireless communication infrastructure and equipment, construction techniques, and safety protocols
       Proficient in tower climbing, rigging, antenna and line installation, and advanced testing (sweep, fiber, PIM)
       Ability to interpret RF data, construction drawings and customer specifications
       Proficient in the use of hand and power tools
       Competence with GPS, test equipment, and site audit tools
 
Soft Skills:
       Strong leadership, decision-making, and team building skills  
       Detail oriented, with a focus on safety, quality, and accountability
       Follows safety protocols and installation procedures with accuracy and care, and requires others to do the same

Physical Requirements:
       Must be able to pass pre-employment screening that includes background and drug testing
       Must have a valid driver's license and a driving record that meets Company requirements
       Ability to climb vertically and pull one's own body weight, along with necessary tools and equipment, up to 500 feet, and perform work at heights on towers and other elevated structures for extended periods
       Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 75 pounds regularly
       Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, and grasp materials and tools with both hands
       Ability to work long hours in outdoor environments, including extreme weather conditions such as heat, cold, rain, wind, or snow
       Ability to stand, walk, and perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods of time
       Ability to wear the required personal protective equipment (PPE), including fall protection harness, hard hat, safety glasses, and gloves
       Ability to climb and work at heights while wearing a safety harness, maintaining a total combined weight (which includes body weight, clothing, equipment, and tools) between 130 pounds and 310 pounds in accordance with industry fall protection standards
       Must be physically and mentally fit to perform tower rescues and participate in safety drills and training exercises
       Comfortable working in confined spaces and at varying elevations
       Ability to work long and unpredictable hours
       Ability to travel away from home up to 75% of the time, including weekends and extended travel. Travel includes local site travel or national travel depending on business needs.
