Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Therapist, you will perform the following key responsibilities:

• Conduct ethical and compassionate individual counseling sessions via video chat, ensuring an environment of trust and safety.
• Utilize evidence-based, solution-focused treatment modalities to develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Monitor and evaluate the progression of clients throughout their treatment journeys, adjusting plans as necessary to support sustainable behavioral changes.
• Provide insights and guidance to help clients understand their feelings, experiences, and interpersonal relationships.
• Assist clients in the identification and development of healthy coping mechanisms for managing daily stressors and challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on stable, low-acuity adults who require mental health support within a school-based setting. These clients may include students and their families, making your work instrumental in fostering a positive school environment. You will have the opportunity to address a spectrum of issues, enhancing your skills in crisis intervention, relationship counseling, and emotional resilience training.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree or higher in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A current state license to practice in Michigan, such as Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Master Social Worker – Clinical Specialty (MSW-Clinical), or Psychologist (PsyD).
• Independently licensed to practice without supervision, with no history of disciplinary actions.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills coupled with a compassionate nature, and the ability to foster trusting relationships with clients.
• Proficiency in utilizing technology for virtual counseling; a reliable and stable internet connection is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, the following experiences may enhance your candidacy:

• Experience working with diverse populations, particularly in school-based environments.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and tools that support remote therapy.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 90,000–104,000 annually, commensurate with your experience and the hours you work. Additional benefits include:
