As a Security Officer Overnight Driving Patrol in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, where you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access activities with exceptional customer service and communication. What You'll Do:
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, grounds, and perimeter to help identify potential concerns and report security-related issues.
  • Monitor access points and help to deter unauthorized entry by verifying credentials, assisting with visitor processing, and following site-specific access procedures.
  • Support daily operations by observing for environmental and operational irregularities, reporting hazards or maintenance concerns, and assisting with orderly movement throughout the location.

Minimum Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Access control/badge experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
