As a Armed Security Officer Overnight in Chapel Hill, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer supporting a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication. In this armed post, you will contribute to a caring, reliable team that values agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while making a meaningful impact each day.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a financial services location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with site contacts and/or public emergency personnel as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the location, including the lobby, office areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter, while helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or unusual behavior.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and/or other sensitive areas, verify credentials and/or permissions, and report maintenance concerns, hazards, and/or suspicious conditions according to post procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Pepper spray certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
