Job description

TSC is seeking a Radar System Analyst Engineer in Huntsville, Alabama. This position supports the Radar and Precision Weapons Development. The successful candidate will be supporting a lead technical engineer in performing analysis in support of technologies in the following areas: miniature airborne sensors, tactical data links, large antenna systems, small X and Ku Band AESA systems. Through successful program execution the candidate will help position TSC to be the preferred partner for new programs with our current customers. This is an exciting role that will allow the successful candidate to support a key growth initiative within TSC. Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and derive radar system performance requirements based on concepts of operation and tactical environments
  • Propose radar system architectures based on customer requirements
  • Analyze radar data using digital signal processing techniques
  • Create technical presentations and white papers in support of internal hardware development activities
  • Create representative performance models of radar hardware and subsystems
  • Support hardware development, demonstrations, technical discussions, and deliver periodic technical briefs
  • Track new and upcoming technologies and how they can be utilized to create better performance or lower cost technical solutions for radar applications

Required Qualifications:

This position requires a flexible individual who can meet the following qualifications:

  • Masters of Science degree in Electrical Engineering
  • Ability to understand and apply general radar principles and signal processing methods
  • Self-motivated and free-thinking individual capable of independent technical discussion, technical leadership, and customer interaction
  • Ability to use computer algebra software such as Mathcad, MATLAB, Python, or Maple
  • Ability to develop technical documentation to communicate complex topics to customers
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI DoD Clearance
