SGVAC focuses on the research, pre-operational development, assessment, and demonstration of situational awareness technologies for Transmission and Distribution systems.Key focus areas include:Synchrophasor technologyNext-generation control center functionalitiesCybersecurity testingNew visualization techniquesDERMS platform evaluationData analyticsPower system modeling and simulation using Real-Time Digital Simulator (RTDS) with hardware-in-the-loop testingPosition SummaryThis position supports the Grid Operations and Planning Research area and focuses on deploying and evaluating emerging technologies for grid operations.
