Job description

A Little About UsOats Overnight is changing the way people eat breakfast, and since launching in 2016, our high protein spoon-free oatmeal has been enjoyed by over 1,000,000 customers. We are scaling quickly in both direct-to-consumer and retail with the goal of becoming a household brand. We have end-to-end control of all phases of the business, producing and fulfilling the product in-house, which is extremely rare for companies our size. This allows us to create new flavors and products quickly and is a tremendous advantage for our brand – we’re able to give customers a behind-the-scenes look at what we do, highlighting our people and process in content. Being vertically integrated also enables us to incorporate customers directly in the development process.We are not accepting candidates from third-party recruiters or agencies for this role — direct applicants only.What’s The Job?The Maintenance Manager is responsible for ensuring that the facilities, layout and machinery used to produce new and existing materials and goods run to their maximum efficiency and output. This includes total preventative maintenance, managing breakdowns of mechanical, electrical and robotic equipment (including software programming).What You’ll Be Doing, Stop Scanning and Read This Part
  • Supervising and leading all maintenance processes and operations
  • Managing maintenance personnel by setting direction and priorities
  • Tracking expenses and overseeing the budget for maintenance
  • Maintaining all machinery to ensure it's at working standards
  • Creating, implementing and maintaining maintenance department procedures
  • Conducting regular inspections of the facilities to detect and resolve problems
  • Planning and managing all repair and installation activities
  • Ensuring all department workers adhere to the safety policies and procedures
  • Assigning repair schedules and evaluating repair cost estimates
  • Documenting and preparing daily progress reports and maintenance logs
  • Overseeing equipment stock and placing orders for new supplies when necessary
  • Managing, maintaining, and establishing maintenance procedures for production lines in a food manufacturing environment to ensure production meets or performs better than forecast
  • Developing and maintaining quality standards
  • Developing and maintaining team safety standards
  • Participating in designing and developing future production capacities by attending design meetings; coordinating with Research & Development regarding product changes and improvements; and updating maintenance operating procedures and schedules to incorporate the changes
  • Developing team and supervisor skills by conducting training meetings; one on one development sessions; outside technical skills training; and establishing and monitoring performance reviews
  • Other duties as assigned
What You’ve Done And Who You Are
  • Experience and desire to support a culture built on collaboration, sharing of ideas and celebration of successes as well as drive for positive outcomes with cross-functional teams.
  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, facility management, or a similar field is plus
  • A minimum of 5 years experience in maintenance.
  • At least 2-3 years previous managerial experience.
  • Good understanding of the technical features of plumbing, carpentry, and electrical systems.
  • Strong knowledge facilities machines and equipment.
  • Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
  • Excellent communication, coaching and interpersonal skills
  • Detail oriented and organized
  • Proficient computer skills in spreadsheets; databases and word processing
  • Self motivated, results orientated and excellent personal skills
  • Strong knowledge in Maintenance and Reliability
  • Strong background in HAACP; safety; GMP
  • Must have a hands-on work ethic
  • Bilingual preferred

Physical Demands
