Job description

Austin Radiological Association is seeking a skilled and motivated General Pediatric Body Radiologist to join their close-knit section of pediatric radiologists in Austin, TX. This full-time position offers a 2-year partnership track and focuses on over 90% pediatric cases, with minimal adult general body responsibilities. The role provides opportunities for leadership, education, and research within a nationally renowned radiology practice.

Practice Info

  • Close-knit section consisting of 5 other pediatric radiologists in a collegial and supportive environment
  • Over 90% pediatric cases, minimal adult general body responsibilities
  • Subspecialist support for IR procedures, neuroradiology, and musculoskeletal MRI
  • Section based out of Dell Children's Medical Center, a 248-bed freestanding pediatric facility serving a 46-county area and beyond
  • Dell Children's Medical Center houses the region's only level I pediatric trauma center and Level IV NICU
  • Practice features 24/7 support staff and robust IT infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialized pediatric imaging, diagnostic interpretation, and cutting-edge interventional procedures
  • Comfortable with general body radiology
  • Primary teaching faculty for the UT Dell Medical School radiology residency program
  • Teach residents, fellows, and medical students

Compensation

  • Salary range for this position is $500,000-$1,000,000

Shift & Schedule

  • Full-time (30+ hrs/week)
  • Weekdays - 8a-5p general daytime shifts, including 1 hour protected lunch break
  • Call/Holidays - 8a-4p weekend/holiday or 4p-1030p evening shifts, shared evenly by the section
  • Overnight pediatric diagnostic coverage provided by contracted teleradiology service

Requirements

  • Board certified or Board-eligible in Diagnostic Radiology by the American Board of Radiology
  • Completion of a pediatric radiology fellowship or CAQ in pediatric radiology
  • Radiology fellows and residents are welcome to apply
