Job Description

As a Security Officer Unarmed Patrol Driver Incident Response in Durham, NC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Security Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and support access control activities. This driving post requires a valid driver's license. You will provide exceptional customer service and clear communication while representing Allied Universal's agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first culture with teamwork and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and vendors at a healthcare and life sciences location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to help identify and report unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy concerns.
  • Complete accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Minimum Requirements:

  • At least one year of security-related experience is required.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
