Position Overview:

We are currently seeking an individual to work 1:1 with an individual with a Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). This role will combine both awake hours and sleep hours. Sleep hours are from 12:00 am to 6:00 am and will be paid at minimum wage.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Medication Administration
  • Light Cleaning Duties
  • Help Maintain an extremely quiet atmosphere between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
  • Morning prep; getting resident ready for work, packing lunches, making breakfast, morning cleaning...etc.
  • Daily Documentation for symptomatic behaviors, activities, meals, household tasks, sleep disturbances, medication administration, and personal goals.
  • Lock the residence and wait with the resident until they get picked up for work.

Requirements/Preferences:

  • Strong history working with individuals with disabilities: TBI, dementia, Alzheimer's, or memory care preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple responsibilities independently.
  • 1:1 Direct Care: Experience with hallucinations or delusions, understanding how to navigate TBI related symptoms strongly preferred.
  • Ability to pass and maintain a clean Minnesota Background Study is mandatory.

Compensation:

  • Awake Hours: $20.00 per hour.
  • Sleep Hours: $11.47 per hour.
