Job Description:

Job Title: PFC Pharmacy Support Packing

Department: Pharmacy Fulfillment Center

FLSA: Non-Exempt

General Function

Works in a fast-paced production environment known as an automated Central Fill Pharmacy. Performs functions of packing, shipping and/or package sortation of prescription orders in accordance with standard operating procedures and work instructions. Packages prescription in bags once accuracy is verified.

Reporting Relations

Accountable and Reports to: GVP, Pharmacy Services; Fulfillment Center Pharmacy Pharmacists; Packing Leads

Positions that Report to you: None

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Places prescription containers into a bag or sack for delivery to the patient or retail pharmacy, once accuracy has been verified by a pharmacist

  • Stations include auto-baggers, manual pack, and bulk

  • Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment

  • Prepares the paper work and compiles medicine for delivery orders and mail-outs

  • Maintains strict adherence to department and company guidelines related to personal hygiene and dress

  • Keeps pharmacy supplies well-stocked

  • Adheres to company policies and guidelines

  • Reports to work when scheduled and on time

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists in other areas of Fulfillment Center as needed

  • Performs other job related duties and special projects as required

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics

  • Must have the ability to follow written, verbal or diagrammatic instructions; several concrete variables

Education and Experience

High School Diploma or GED required.

Physical Requirements

  • Visual requirements include vision at 20 inches or less with or without correction, field of vision, and color vision.

  • Must be physically able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, exert up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and exert a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects.

  • Must be able to perform the following physical activities: reaching, twisting, rotating, standing, walking, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions.

Working Conditions

This position is exposed to noise on a daily basis. This is a fast-paced work environment in an office and warehouse setting with significant pressure.
