Job description

HIRING IMMEDIATELY: AIR IMPORT AGENT IN ELK GROVE VILLAGE, IL
Accurate Personnel is hiring immediately for a General Labor to join our team in Channahon, Illinois. This individual will be responsible for general warehouse duties including material handling, shipping and receiving, and workplace maintenance. The ideal candidate will possess previous experience in a manufacturing, machine shop, or industrial environment, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, and more listed below. Pay, Schedule, and Location
  • Starting at $23/hour
  • Excellent benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision
  • Located in Elk Grove Village, Illinois
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Coordinate with agents and partners to ensure import shipments are properly documented and processed
  • Sort, process, and distribute documents for incoming consolidations and direct shipments
  • Determine efficient transportation methods and arrange freight forwarding and delivery
  • Ensure required U.S. Customs documentation is accurate and complete under the direction of designated Customs Brokers
  • Arrange local deliveries for customers following customs clearance
  • Prepare and issue customer invoices and calculate applicable freight, storage, and other charges
  • Respond to customers and overseas partners through email, fax, and other communication channels
  • Prepare freight quotations in response to customer and internal requests
  • Coordinate arrangements needed for the smooth movement of import freight and assist with customer service procedures
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Basic math skills with the ability to calculate duties, freight, storage, and other charges
  • Solid understanding of international freight forwarding and import operations
  • Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work flexible or extended hours as needed
  • Ability to occasionally lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds
  • Overnight travel may be required
