Job description

A private family is seeking an experienced, warm, highly organized, and dependable Nanny to care for two school-aged boys, approximately ages 8 and 11.
This is a long-term position for a professional nanny who is proactive, energetic, flexible, and comfortable managing the children's daily routines, school schedules, activities, meals, and child-related household responsibilities.
The position can be live-in or live-out. When the mother travels, the nanny will be required to stay overnight with the children. When the mother is in residence, a live-out arrangement is available.
The ideal candidate is an experienced nanny who genuinely enjoys working with school-aged children and can provide the right balance of warmth, structure, independence, and organization. The family is looking for someone who will take ownership of the children's daily routines, stay on top of school and activity schedules, and provide reliable support whether the mother is home or traveling.
Schedule
Monday through Friday, with flexibility required based on the family's schedule.
The nanny must also be available for occasional evenings, weekends, and overnight care when the mother travels. The mother travels monthly. No travel with the family is required.
Responsibilities
  • Provide attentive, nurturing, and age-appropriate care for two school-aged children.
  • Drive the children to and from school, activities, appointments, and other scheduled commitments.
  • Coordinate and manage after-school activities and schedules.
  • Assist with homework and help ensure school assignments and daily responsibilities are completed.
  • Work cooperatively with the children's tutor and other professionals involved in their schedules.
  • Prepare healthy meals and snacks for the children, particularly when the mother is traveling.
  • Grocery shop as needed for the children and household.
  • Handle family laundry.
  • Maintain the children's bedrooms, play areas, belongings, and common areas used by the children.
  • Provide light housekeeping related primarily to the children
  • Assist with school preparation, backpacks, clothing, activity supplies, and other daily needs.
  • Maintain consistent routines and provide attentive support when the mother is home.
  • Provide overnight supervision and care when the mother travels.
  • Communicate clearly with the mother regarding schedules, activities, school matters, and any concerns involving the children.

Qualifications
  • CANDIDATES MUST BE LOCAL TO SOUTH FLORIDA
  • Previous professional nanny experience with school-aged children.
  • Previous related nanny experience with references
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Must have a reliable personal vehicle to use for the position.
  • Fluent English required.
  • Comfortable preparing healthy meals for children.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proactive and able to anticipate the children's needs.
  • Energetic and comfortable managing active school-aged children and multiple activities.
  • Dependable and flexible with scheduling.
  • Professional, discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of the family's privacy.
