Home Health Aide (Overnight Shift)

Location: Milledgeville - GA - 31061

Work Location: In-person (Home Health)

Job Overview: We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Home Health Aides to provide essential overnight care and support to individuals in their homes. As an Overnight Home Health Aide, you will play a crucial role in assisting clients with daily living activities, monitoring their well-being throughout the night, and ensuring a safe, comfortable environment. This position requires a strong commitment to patient care, as well as the ability to work independently and collaboratively with healthcare professionals.

Duties:

  • Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility.
  • Prepare light meals and snacks as needed and ensure dietary needs are met.
  • Perform patient observation and closely monitor changes in health status during overnight hours; promptly report any concerns to healthcare providers.
  • Offer companionship and reassurance, helping clients feel secure throughout the night.
  • Maintain a clean, safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
  • Provide memory care support for clients with cognitive impairments, ensuring safety and promoting calm overnight routines.
  • Administer CPR if necessary and assist with catheter care as required by the client's health plan.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in home health care or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong observational skills, particularly during overnight monitoring.
  • Ability to perform meal preparation, laundry, and light cleaning duties.
  • Knowledge of hospice care principles is a plus.
  • Certification in CPR is highly desirable.
