Job description

New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking Pad Crew Workers for an oil & gas client located in East Houston, TX. This is a great opportunity for individuals with experience in construction, farming, ranching, heavy equipment, military service, or other hands-on trades who are looking to build a career in the oil and gas industry.

Pay: $20.00/hour

Schedule: Must be flexible to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays as business demands.

Summary

The Pad Crew Worker is responsible for supporting the rig-up and rig-down process by installing and assembling rig components, assisting with equipment preparation, material handling, painting and finishing equipment, and maintaining a safe and organized work environment. This position requires working outdoors in various weather conditions and performing physically demanding tasks while adhering to all safety procedures and operational standards.

Responsibilities
  • Participate in pre-tour and post-tour meetings
  • Examine fabricated units to ensure accuracy and completeness of delivered materials
  • Sort, stack, and organize incoming and outgoing materials and inventory
  • Assist with the rig-up and rig-down process for drilling and production equipment
  • Operate hand tools and air-powered tools including ratchets, wrenches, driving pins, sledgehammers, push sticks, and tag lines
  • Assist with painting, finishing, and preparing equipment for field operations
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment including safety houses, conex containers, and work areas
  • Assist Pad Foreman with tracking and maintaining assigned tools and equipment
  • Follow all company safety guidelines, policies, and procedures
  • Support the development and maintenance of a quality-driven, incident-free work culture
  • Assist in keeping equipment and tools in proper working condition
  • Work collaboratively with crew members, supervisors, contractors, and management
  • Complete all required training programs and certifications
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent required
  • Minimum of one (1) year of stable work history in construction, carpentry, farming, ranching, heavy equipment operation, industrial trades, or military service
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • Ability to work independently while following direction from supervisors
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Strong attention to safety and detail
  • Ability to complete all required training programs
  • Willingness to obtain and maintain Forklift and Man Lift certifications
