Certified Medication Aide (CMA) – Part-Time (Third Shift, Assisted Living)

  • Base Pay: Starting at $16.50/hr, with higher rates based on experience
  • 3rd Shift Differential: +$1.00/hr
  • Weekend Differential: +$2.00/hr
  • Perfect Attendance Bonus (Part-Time): +$2.00/hr

Who Are You?

As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) on Third Shift, you are a calm, reliable presence who ensures the comfort and safety of residents during overnight hours. You take pride in your attention to detail and your ability to provide quality care, even when most of the world is sleeping.


A Night in the Life:
  • Assist residents with overnight care needs and daily living activities, including dressing, grooming, and toileting
  • Set up, administer, and document medications accurately under the supervision of a licensed nurse
  • Monitor vital signs and observe for changes in condition, promptly reporting to nursing staff
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and quiet environment that supports restful sleep for residents
  • Respond to emergency calls and overnight needs with professionalism and compassion
  • Support smooth shift transitions through thorough documentation and communication with other shifts
  • Foster a respectful and supportive atmosphere for residents and coworkers alike

Qualifications:

License/Certification:

  • Must hold a current Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and Certified Nurse Aide (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas
  • Valid CPR certification required

Experience:

  • Previous experience in assisted living, long-term care, or a healthcare setting preferred

Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail, especially with overnight medication administration
  • Ability to work independently and remain alert during third shift hours
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and time management skills
  • Compassionate and professional approach to resident care
