Job Responsibilities:

This position involves operating a tanker truck, transporting pavement preservation materials, performing inspections, completing required documentation, and maintaining compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards. Drivers may support plant operations, material deliveries, and construction activities depending on location and business needs.

  • Operate and drive various trucks assigned to road crews, including dump trucks, tractors pulling lowboys, service trucks hauling over 10,000 pounds, and company pickups
  • Drivers should be able to stay overnight for up to one week at a time and occasionally up to two weeks based on project needs.
  • Transport materials, equipment, and machinery to and from job sites
  • Load and unload materials safely and efficiently
  • Perform manual labor and surface preparation work when assisting the crew
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns
  • Complete required logs, inspections, and transportation documentation
  • Ensure proper loading and securement of materials and equipment before transport

  • Communicate effectively with team members to support daily operations
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
  • Up to 50% travel, including overnight travel. Drivers should be able to stay overnight for up to one week at a time and occasionally up to two weeks based on project needs

Qualifications:
  • Valid Class A CDL required
  • One (1) year of commercial driving experience preferred
  • Must pass MVR, FMCSA Clearinghouse, and pre-employment screening requirements
  • Tanker and/or Hazmat endorsements preferred
  • Valid DOT Medical Card
  • Acceptable driving record
  • Ability to pass required pre-employment screenings, including drug testing
