Job description

THE POSITION Do you like working in a fast pace environment, responsible for a large variety of work, performing complex problem solving, all while delivering high quality customer service. The Infrastructure and Economic Development Delivery Center, Technology Services Office is seeking a highly motivated IT (Information Technology) professional to join the Infrastructure team to support various technologies used to provide applications and services to employees and the citizens of Pennsylvania and support multiple Fleet Management facilities and users in Pennsylvania. DESCRIPTION OF WORK This position supports users and technology that keep agency operations functioning each day. The work includes troubleshooting, maintaining equipment, and ensuring systems run properly. As an Information Technology Generalist 1, you will perform the following duties: Technical Support: Assist users with hardware, software, and network issues across multiple locations System Maintenance: Install, update, and service devices such as workstations, mobile equipment, and peripherals Incident Resolution: Analyze and resolve IT problems and escalate complex issues when needed Network Tools Use: Operate administrative tools to monitor systems and identify root causes of technology issues Documentation Tasks: Record work activities and manage service requests through established ticketing systems Equipment Coordination: Manage setup, testing, repair, and replacement of technology equipment for supported sites Interested in learning more.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, ad hoc.

Employee is approved as a Part-Time Teleworker who works from Headquarters on a regular basis but must request and secure the supervisor's consent in advance of scheduling a day to Telework. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Harrisburg.

The ability to telework is subject to change at any time. Additional details may be provided during the interview. Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS Minimum Experience and Training Requirements: One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Other Requirements: This particular position also requires possession of a valid driver's license. This particular position also requires you to possess one or more years of full-time experience with the following: Experience working with Active Directory Experience imaging Windows workstations Experience in working user incidents through Incident Management software. Examples of software include but are not limited to Remedy and Service Now.

Experience using Microsoft Configuration Manager console Experience with IT Asset Management Experience providing mobile device management through Microsoft InTune You must meet the PA residency requirement.
