Job description

Overnight Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY: Under the supervision of the Management team, the Overnight Supervisor provides daily direction to the Outfitters on the overnight shift within the retail store, to include: sales floor replenishment, merchandise presentation, seasonal resets, inventory management and price change execution.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Delegates tasks and work assignments to team members by giving clear and concise direction and follow up to ensure proper execution.
  • Ensure adherence of all standard operating procedures and processes by team members, following up to provide training and guidance when needed.
  • Maintains visual presentation standards including in-store signage, proper execution of merchandise directives and planograms, merchandise recovering/front facing and general daily recovery ensuring a pleasant and productive shopping experience for all customers.
  • Ensures nightly replenishment of sales floor from backstock inventory, as well as new replenishment from the Distribution Centers and direct vendor deliveries.
  • Supports inventory management in partnership with the Inventory Control team by completing on demand counts, empty peg scanning, pick requests, display integrities, etc. during off peak business overnight.
  • Supports the Management team with coordination of all "Special Events"; maintenance of pricing and UPC integrity; determining proper assortments; accuracy of inventory; proper display, tagging, signing and pricing of all advertised items.
  • Supports the Management team in carrying out Supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company's policies including training, planning, assigning and directing work, evaluating performance, and maintaining a positive work environment.
  • Assists the Management team and Human Resources Representative to staff the department with "service" oriented associates; participates in interviewing and makes recommendations for selection; coordinates training; consults with the Management team and gives input on preparation of performance appraisals; prepares weekly work schedules; coaches and motivates associates to promote positive customer relations and a productive team-oriented work environment.
  • Ensure all breaks and lunches are provided for overnight Outfitters in accordance with all state and local regulations.
  • ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Preferred Degree: High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Certificate(s) or License(s): N/A
  • Years of experience: 2-4 Retail Years Retail Experience
  • Availability to work overnight shifts

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITY:

  • Ability to read and analyze certain reports
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to inquiries from Managers, Outfitters, customers and the general public
  • Ability to conduct meetings and presentations to groups
  • Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, data-based management and inventory management systems
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, Outfitters, customers and with the Base Camp team
