Pet Vet Ambassador (PVA)

PetVet Dx has an exciting opportunity for a Pet Vet Ambassador (PVA) to join our team! The PVA is responsible for effectively educating potential clients on our proprietary molecular diagnostic testing platform, properly collecting samples, delivering our robust product line, and growing our clients through service and direct sales. By communicating our tools and resources and selling the benefits of the solutions we provide, the PVA will help our partners' animal healthcare grow. The PVA will provide commercial products to clinicians, department personnel, purchasing department and inventory managers within assigned territory however the PVA primarily provides direct sales and services to Veterinarian Colleges. This position requires regular travel within the assigned territory as well as occasional overnight travel ensuring collection of tests to be sent directly to the lab or delivered to a specific laboratory. The territory for this position will be based in Starkville, MS and surrounding key accounts.

Core Job Functions

Sample Collection and Analysis

  • Responsible for properly collecting samples and submitting them for analysis
  • Ensure sample requisitions are completed properly
  • Log each form and take ownership of proper reporting
  • Update all relevant customer account information on a weekly basis

Customer Relationship Support

  • Perform in-services, training and implementation with pertinent personnel and veterinarian staff
  • Effectively insulate accounts against competition utilizing the benefits of advanced real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR) Testing
  • Build a strong sales relationship by cold calling Veterinarian Institutions that will provide ongoing revenue goal achievement
  • Promotes and educates clients on a variety of current and new products

Product Sales and Growth

  • Successfully build and execute a monthly business plan with quarterly updates in alignment with our service and sales process
  • Achieve individual sales revenue quota weekly to be reviewed quarterly and annually
  • Effectively and successfully service/sell cross departmentally within a veterinarian school and affiliates including regional labs and veterinary internal labs by articulating our value-based solutions to targeted customers, affiliates, and prospects
  • Demonstrate an ability to effectively present to small and medium sized groups

  • Exerts initiative and drive to improve departmental and organizational operations
  • Owns problems, creates solutions, and maintains personal accountability for results
  • Pursues the designated knowledge and/or experience with a positive attitude
  • Completes assigned tasks with excellence and in a timely manner
  • Integrate successfully into team environment by partnering Service/Sales and efforts with other PVA's and internal support team
Position Specifications

Job Qualifications

  • Must have prior Veterinary Technician Training (Certificate or License)
  • Science background highly desired with three or four years of college experience or graduate work to enter Veterinarian field
  • Prior experience within Veterinarian field preferred
  • Strong persuasiveness, influence and closing skills a must
  • Ability to understand and articulate complex scientific literature and use extensive and complex clinical data as a key factor in the sales process
  • Must have valid driver's license
  • Demonstrated track record with strong academic aptitude
  • Ability to anticipate and prioritize work with minimal direction

This is a part-time position working three to four hours, five days a week. Base pay plus commissions will be provided. Occasional overnight travel may be necessary to perform essential job functions.
