Western Wisconsin Health is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery Nurse to join an amazing team of nurses in a rapidly growing birth center! Work under the direction of a licensed physician or certified nurse midwife credentialed at Western Wisconsin Health. Provide evidence-based nursing care specific to the childbearing women, newborn infants, and families based on evidence-based practice. QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Qualifications:

• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing - Associate Degree in Nursing or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• CPR certification for adults and pediatric
• Wisconsin RN license

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
• 1+ years of hospital RN, LPN, or Nurse Intern experience within the last 3 years
• 1+ years of registered nurse experience in Labor and Delivery
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification, or ability to certify upon hire
• Fetal monitoring class (required to be successfully completed during OB orientation)
• International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners (IBCLC) or Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Maintain the integrity of highly confidential business and patient information
• Display and promote high standards of ethical conduct and behaviors consistent with organizational standards
• Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and electronic medical records
• Ability to anticipate, understand, and manage patient expectations and provide consistent delivery of services
• Clearly and effectively convey information to patients
• Knowledge of medical center emergency and disaster procedures
• Ability to manage conflicting priorities and handle multiple tasks/projects concurrently
• Ability to consistently carry out job responsibilities, able to acknowledge when commitments are not met, and take appropriate steps to fulfill responsibility
• Ability to analyze, identify, and solve problems while using sound judgment

Work schedule:

• .75 FTE - 60 hours per bi-weekly pay period
• Overnight shifts
• Every 4th weekend rotation
