The Lobby Attendant/Public Areas ensures the cleanliness, sanitation, and overall safety of the hotel’s front lobby and all public areas, creating a welcoming environment for guests.

Requirements:

Core Responsibilities: 

  • Ensure the entire front lobby is clean and presentable for the guest 
  • Immediately respond to and correct any potential safety conditions such as a wet floor due to guests tracking in rain or snow
  • Responsible for cleaning all public areas, including locker rooms, gym, and spa
  • Clean pool area and restrooms 
  • Clean all public restrooms and stock all necessary items 
  • Empty the trash from all offices, including the Sales, Executive and Front offices. 
  • Clean, dust, mop, vacuum and polish the lobby area including ashtrays, furniture, house phones, wall fixtures, plants, vending machines, glass and windows 
  • Greet guests in a courteous fashion 
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • High work ethic and self-initiative 
  • Regular attendance according to established guidelines 
  • May be required to work varying schedules to reflect the business needs of the property
  • Focus and maintain attention to tasks, and complete work assignments on time despite frequent interruptions 
  • Ability to maintain excellent relationships with staff and maintain staff and guest confidentiality at all times 
  • Ability to follow direction given in Material Safety Data Sheets, and perform work in a safe and efficient manner

Physical Requirements:

  • Stand and walk for varying lengths of time, often long periods of time 
  • Bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill cleaning requirements 
  • Inspect areas for cleanliness and immediately report guest belongings that have been left behind 
  • Lift approximately thirty (30) pounds of equipment or supplies on and off a cart, using safe lifting techniques 
  • Push heavy carts of approximately one hundred (100) pounds 
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal 
  • Grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, pulling, pushing, listening and hearing ability and visual ability

Availability: Evening Schedule with rotating start time from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM. Flexibility to work overnight shifts when needed with a rotating start time from 6:00PM to 8:00PM.


This is a seasonal position expected to run through October 2026, with the possibility of an extension based on business needs.
