Inspector-Electro/Mechanical Sr.
Purpose: A Senior Inspector is an experienced quality or technical inspector responsible for performing complex inspections, ensuring products or processes meet specifications, and mentoring junior inspectors.
Key Responsibilities:
โ€ข Perform advanced inspections using measurement tools, gauges, and testing equipment.
โ€ข Read Drawing and instructions to comprehend the quality expectations for the product
โ€ข Verify in-process and final product conformance on high-voltage assemblies and test setups.
โ€ข Lead First Article Inspections (FAIs) and document results in accordance with AS9102 or equivalent standards.
โ€ข Document nonconformities and prepare inspection reports.
โ€ข Provide technical support and guidance to other inspectors.
โ€ข Support calibration and equipment verification.
โ€ข Maintain inspection records per quality management system requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
โ€ข Perform regular quality assessments on all incoming materials from vendors and outgoing products for shipping.
โ€ข Reject all products and materials that fail to meet quality expectations.
โ€ข Recommend improvements to the production process to ensure quality control.
โ€ข Measure product dimensions, examine functionality, and compare the final product to the specifications.
โ€ข Resolving quality-related issues and adhering to deadlines
โ€ข Prepare documentation of the inspection process, which includes detailed reports and performance records
โ€ข Direct assembly adjustments to ensure operations reflect quality standards
โ€ข Put accessary together for product before shipment
โ€ข Perform Quality Audit
โ€ข Perform necessary transactions in ERP system.
โ€ข Train and mentor Inspectors I-II on inspection methods, test procedures, and safety practices.
Typical Requirements:
โ€ข 5 years of inspection experience.
โ€ข Strong understanding of GD&T, metrology, and inspection techniques.
โ€ข Familiarity with CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) or other advanced inspection tools.
โ€ข Advanced understanding of schematics, wiring practices, insulation systems, and clearance/creepage requirements.
โ€ข Required Certification: IPC-A-610 and IPC-WHMA-A-620 (current).
โ€ข Preferred Certifications: ASQ Certified Quality Inspector (CQI) or equivalent.
Our good faith estimate of the hourly rate range for this role is $30.00 to $35.00. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, and other factors. In addition to base pay, we offer a highly competitive benefits package.
