Location: Tampa, FL
Reports To: Pastry Supervisor
Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Pastry Baker at La Segunda, you will learn time-honored techniques to prep, bake, and finish a wide variety of handmade pastries. This is a high-volume production and decorating role requiring both precision and passion for craft.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
ย ย ย ย ย Bake and finish pastries according to the daily production sheet
ย ย ย ย ย Mix and prepare pastry according to company recipes and standards
ย ย ย ย ย Safely operate mixers, cookie machine, and sheeter
ย ย ย ย ย Fill out the operations book as required
ย ย ย ย ย Maintain La Segunda's high standards for product quality
ย ย ย ย ย Communicate with baking team to ensure showcases are properly stocked
ย ย ย ย ย Ensure pastries are fresh and remove items past their due date
ย ย ย ย ย Abide by health department requirements and maintain a clean work area
ย ย ย ย ย Complete assigned cleanup tasks at shift conclusion
ย ย ย ย ย Assist with other duties as assigned by Pastry Supervisor or General Manager
WHAT YOU BRING
ย ย ย ย ย 1-2 years minimum experience in pastry or baking
ย ย ย ย ย Ability to follow recipes and production sheets precisely
ย ย ย ย ย Food preparation experience required
ย ย ย ย ย Ability to work well with others and self-motivated
ย ย ย ย ย Ability to stand for long periods and work in heat
ย ย ย ย ย Able to lift up to 50 lbs
COMPENSATION
Pay range: $15.00-$18.00/hr based on experience. Weekly pay on Wednesdays.
