Job description

Summary/objective:
Bliss Products is looking to bolster its already successful team with a highly organized, driven Construction Manager (CM) for its Project Channel in the Midwest. As the Construction Manager you are dedicated to ensuring quality, successful installations of Bliss projects such as Splashpads, Playgrounds, Adventure-Style Mini Golf Courses and more. You will work with Bliss as well as with municipalities, specifiers (Engineers and Landscape Architects), General Contractors, and Subcontractors from initial bid through the breaking ground process. You will work out of Lithia Springs, GA office and complete projects with an occasional national project.
Construction Manager Responsibilities Include:
• Bidding jobs and creating estimates for job costs.
• Source subcontractors and ensure the maintenance of the subcontractors DB in Sugar CRM.
• Manage subcontractor bid process and issue POs.
• File & submit for required permits.
• Forecast deployment activities for subcontractors and Bliss crews in the scheduling tool.
• Enter actuals for deployment activities in the scheduling tool.
• Provide installation timeframe, and budgetary numbers for subcontractors and internal crew costs.
• Compile SOW & all technical docs.
• Coordinate drawing review and approvals.
• Set up rental equipment as needed.
• Manage budgeted costs.
• Communicating with clients, designers, and engineers.
• Be primary contact for customer management - after sales handoff.
• Visiting and inspecting deployment sites when practical.
• Define, build & execute quality.
• Reporting on progress and challenges.
• Turnover/closeout package review and approval as required.
• Learning and applying the latest relevant knowledge to the work.
• Hiring internal resources.
Required Education and Experience:
• 2 to 5 years of Construction Management experience preferably in the recreational environment
• High School Diploma or GED - required.
• BA/BS degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or similar field a plus.
• Proven ability to multitask under pressure and prioritize urgent situations.
• Recognized internship beneficial.
• Strong business and communication skills.
• Working knowledge of MS Suite of software (Word, Excel and Teams).
• Voluntary certification beneficial.
• Broad understanding of standard construction practices a plus.
• Ability to review and understand project budgets, scheduling, scopes of work, and change orders - required.
• Possesses a valid Driver's License, good driving history, dependable transportation and can pass background check - required.
Travel Needs:
• This position will require overnight and weekend travel to various jobs and customer work sites, particularly during the construction season.
