CNC Machinist
COMPENSATION: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
LOCATION: Fenton, MI
JOB TYPE: Full-time
HOURS: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday-Thursday (No overtime)
JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with at least 5 years of experience in operating CNC mills and lathes. This role requires the ability to set up, adjust, and ensure the quality of machined parts, as well as a strong understanding of CNC "G Code" programming. Familiarity with Haas, Mori Seiki, and Fanuc controls is essential.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Operate CNC mills and lathes, including setup and adjustments, based on detailed specifications.
  • Perform machining of parts and products per drawings, ensuring compliance with specifications and material requirements.
  • Make simple edits to G-Code programming and manage multiple machine operations.
  • Maintain high levels of production, adhering to close and exacting tolerances and finish specifications.
  • Follow proper operating procedures, maintaining accurate records to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring safety and environmental compliance.
  • Participate in the training of Machine Operators and help resolve tooling wear problems.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Minimum 5 years of CNC machining experience.
  • Proficient in G-Code programming and able to make program alterations.
  • Must have personal machinist tools.
  • Experience with setting up 2-axis lathes.
  • Strong organizational skills and cleanliness.
  • Demonstrated reliability with excellent attendance records.
  • Basic math skills and blueprint reading capabilities.
  • Technical training in machining preferred.
