Job description

Overnight Front Desk Receptionist

Four Seasons Hotel Seattle is looking for an Overnight Front Desk Receptionist who shares our passion for excellence and is enthusiastic about creating the ultimate service experience. Our Overnight Front Desk Receptionist is a part of a dynamic team that provides award-winning service to our guests. This position reports to the Front Office Manager. U.S. work authorization is required for this position.

Key Elements of the Job
  • Handle the check-in process in an efficient and engaging manner, personalizing the experience for each guest
  • Ascertain guest satisfaction, collects keys, posts late charges and presents bill to guest during the check-out process.
  • Follow a detailed process in each transaction that ensures guest room type, preferences and billing are accurate.
  • Maintain a balanced bank assigned by the hotel. Make change, cashes checks, exchange foreign currency and reconcile all transactions at the close of each shift.
  • Handles all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible; resolves customer complaints; assists customers in all inquiries in connection with hotel services, hours of operations, key hotel personnel, in-house events, directions, etc. Responds to all guest requests in an accurate and timely manner. Interaction with guest will be in person and by phone.
  • Utilize a variety of computer systems to check guests in and out, run daily reports and select and block rooms for arriving guests.
Preferred Qualifications and Skills
  • High school education; Bachelor's degree strongly preferred
  • Ability to stand continuously for an entire work shift
  • Ability to handle luggage, packages, and boxes up to 50 lbs carried over a distance of up to 20 feet
  • An innate ability to communicate one-on-one with guests and provide intuitive service
  • A keen eye for detail and consistency
  • Positive demeanor and energetic spirit
  • A comfort reading reports, maps and directions, utilizing computer systems, and communicating both verbally and in writing to guests to ensure the very best experience
