Job description

Job Summary:

As a Night Auditor, you will audit, balance, and report on various areas of the hotel to provide accurate, timely information and to ensure the hotel is following hotel policies and procedures. Your goal is to provide Level5 Hospitality and service for each and every guest.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Perform all check-in and check-out tasks
  • Complete the Night Audit checklist each shift
  • Properly close all PMS and 'Point of Sale' systems daily, generate and maintain appropriate audit reports and reset all systems to the following day
  • Inform the Front Office Manager or Manager on Duty of any problems that need immediate attention and/or action to ensure proper follow-up
  • Operate the front desk according to standard operating procedures and with exceptional guest service!
  • Fulfill all Front Office functions during the overnight shift
  • Know emergency procedures and how to respond accordingly after training by the Chief of Maintenance
  • Complete daily reports, audit correspondence, as required by shift
  • Receive and confirm credit cards for validity and acceptability
  • Welcome guest upon their arrival and assign rooms
  • Take incoming calls, online and in-person room booking requests, and answer questions about guests needs involving room rates, available rooms, amenities, and special requests
  • Manage online and phone reservations
  • Respond to guest complaints in a timely and professional manner
  • Create incident reports for guest injuries/issues when required
  • Maintains a high standard of personal appearance and grooming, which includes compliance with the dress code policy
  • Performs other related duties as required by Manager/Supervisor

Required Skills/Abilities:

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
  • Previous work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent preferred
  • Level5 High Touch service
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Flexibility with shifts and scheduling
  • Must be available weekends and/or occasional holidays
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from work
  • Must have stellar attendance, reliability, and punctuality

Education and Experience:

  • High School diploma and/or experience in a hotel or related field preferred
  • Basic accounting and bookkeeping experience
  • Must possess basic computational ability

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position during shift.
  • Must be able to access and navigate the facility.
  • Employees are required to adhere to safety requirements by wearing the appropriate personal protective equipment.
  • Work is routine and repetitive in nature and may require strenuous physical exertion at times, including the ability to move objects weighing up to 50lbs.
