We have an immediate opening for an Early- to Mid-Level Scientist in our Fayetteville, New York office. Come join our team!

Responsibilities

The successful candidate will support projects in the fields of toxicology, ecology, human health and ecological risk assessment, public health, hydrogeology, and water resources. The candidate will perform technical analyses and assist in the preparation of high-quality technical presentations, reports, letters, plans, and proposals with the guidance of a supervisor and project technical leads (PTLs).  Other tasks will include:

  • Assist in preparation of workplans and sampling and analysis plans for site investigations used to inform risk assessment, remediation options, regulatory compliance, litigation matters, and research projects.
  • Assist in the management, analysis, and interpretation of environmental data using statistical analysis and data visualization tools.
  • Perform data compilation, exploratory data analysis, data visualization, QA/QC, and computer modeling.
  • Independently perform research tasks with input from technical experts.
  • Participate in proposal development, project management and business development activities.
  • Contribute to a positive team atmosphere through collaboration with technical experts, project managers, colleagues, and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree with background in toxicology; Ph.D. preferred
  • Up to 2 years of relevant professional work experience preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Critical thinking, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and programming skills in R and/or Python preferred
  • Interest in leveraging automated workflows and data science tools
  • Knowledge of statistical methods and probabilistic analysis applied to toxicology
  • Collaborative mindset
  • Experience using mapping software such as ESRI ArcGIS is a plus.
  • Ability/willingness to travel
