Job description

DoubleTree Hotel by the Galleria employs people who genuinely care about delivering great guest service. If you have hotel, apartment or office building engineering experience, and enjoy engaging with guests, submit your resume to apply!

Required Skills & Abilities:

-Must have the ability to communicate in English both verbal and written

-At least two (2) years previous engineering/maintenance experience in hotel, hospital, apartment or office building

-Flexible to work AM, mid-shift, PM, overnight, weekends and holidays

-Able to use computer or tablet

-Must be able to climb, crawl, stoop, kneel, stand on feet for at least eight (8) hours and able to lift, push or pull 25 lbs. to 75 lbs.

-Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical, plumbing, H.V.A.C., boilers highly preferred

-Experience in painting, drywall, calking and carpentry highly preferred

Job Description:

-Perform preventative maintenance in guest rooms and assigned areas of the hotel

-Assist in checking electrical systems such as air conditioning controls, television sets, lighting systems, and make minor repairs and/or replacement

-Assist with major repairs of all hotel equipment including small appliances, kitchen and laundry equipment, boilers, HVAC, hand and power tools and general plumbing systems

-Assist with servicing the pool, including adjusting chemicals and cleaning/changing filters

-Maintain the building exterior to include lawn care, power washing, spreading salt for icy conditions

-Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance issues in guest rooms and fix the issue
