This role is crucial for promoting our innovative metal and glass railing products and solutions across various construction sectors. As a BDM, you will engage directly with architects, general contractors, subcontractors, and property owners, leveraging your expertise in consultative selling to foster relationships and enhance our brand penetration.
What We Do:
VIVA Railings leads the industry in innovation, designing decorative metal and glass railing systems that redefine commercial spaces with safety, elegance, and distinctive design. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Architect Engagement: Develop and strengthen relationships with architects, introducing them to our products, providing educational materials, and crafting customized solutions that integrate seamlessly into their projects.
  • Contractor Relations: Ensure VIVA Railings is prequalified with general contractors, engage with their pre-construction teams, bid actively on projects, and negotiate effectively to close sales.
  • Sales and Customer Interaction: Respond quickly to sales inquiries, schedule and conduct meetings and product demos, provide quotes, and close deals efficiently.
  • Consultative Relationships: Build lasting relationships with contractors, architects, and designers to ensure our products are specified and to discover new project opportunities.
  • Market Strategy & Reporting: Keep detailed records of activities within your territory, maintain up-to-date contact lists, track project opportunities, monitor competitors, and report key market insights using our CRM system.
  • Quote Management: Handle and follow up on quotes diligently to maximize conversion rates.
  • Territorial Strategy Development: Develop and implement effective market strategies to ensure comprehensive coverage and enhance the visibility of VIVA Railings products.

REQUIREMENTS:
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven experience in consultative selling to build relationships and boost sales.
  • Self-motivated individual with a proven track record of setting and surpassing goals.
  • Flexibility for up to 75% monthly overnight travel within the assigned territory. Prior extensive work-related travel experience is essential.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce or similar CRM software.
  • Exceptional presentation skills combined with superior verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Persistent, persuasive, and diligent in multitasking and meeting deadlines.
  • Technical know-how in construction to provide consultative services effectively.
  • Comfortable working from a home-based office.
  • Familiarity with long selling cycles.

EDUCATIONAL & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
  • Bachelor's degree in Sales, Marketing, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in commercial building product sales.
  • Proven experience in sales targeting General Contractors.
  • Established track record in specification & consulting sales to Architects.
