Job description

Job Summary
Responsible for managing the analytic team efforts to develop easily repeatable reports and dashboards that will allow internal clients to make data-driven decisions. Implement strategies which result in measureable financial returns to the business.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities, and Key Accountabilities
  • Oversees development and implementation of self-service business intelligence solutions. Works work with IT and business users to shape the BI vision and to optimize the data infrastructure.
  • Develops analytical frameworks, roadmaps, and metrics for the team and broader organization of resources.
  • Works closely with data management team to implement centralized data warehousing solutions and assist with design and build of data cubes for reporting to deliver consistent information across the business.
  • Tests, analyzes and problem-solves data issues to ensure data integrity and provide technical support for end users of self-service BI tool.
  • Develops complex reports dashboards and scorecards, as well as reporting and analysis for all areas of the business and program performance to drive results and guide BI decisions.
  • Collaborates with sales, marketing, call center, and strategy team to target insights and customer behavioral data.
  • Provides support to multiple departments to ensure the BI, analytic, and reporting needs are met with technology, architecture, processes and tools.
  • Manages project communications between all departments. Communicates directly with team members to enforce scheduled deliverables, relay revision requests, record progress, and address obstacles as they arise.

  • Solutions require analysis and investigation.
  • Achieves planned results by decisions and actions based on professional methods, business principles, and practical experience. May recommend/make decisions regarding new programs/initiatives that have significant impact to the business and carry consequences in unsuccessful endeavors.
  • Manages a larger team or multiple small teams through direction of subordinate management and/or supervisory staff.

Work Environment
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Typically requires overnight travel 20% to 50% of the time.

Education and Experience
  • Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
