Status:Full-Time
Salary:$60,000-$70,000 annually

Recovery Centers of Americaat Raritan Bay isseekinga dedicated and compassionateRecovery Support Supervisorto join our team. In this leadership role, you will support patients navigating substance use and mental health disorders while supervising a team of Recovery Support Specialists (RSS). You will play a keypartinmaintaininga safe, therapeutic, and engaging environment, ensuring high-quality patient care, and driving departmental excellence.

WhatYou'llDo

  • Lead and supervise a team of Recovery Support Specialists, including scheduling, coaching, and performance oversight.
  • Ensure department performance by achieving Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as rounding timeliness, group attendance, patient satisfaction, and safe discharge metrics.
  • Support quality improvement initiatives andmaintaincompliance with regulatory and organizational standards.
  • Conduct safety and security checks, complete required documentation, and helpmaintaina therapeutic treatment milieu.
  • Collaborate with Leadership Team members-including Nursing, Clinical, and Admissions-to ensure streamlined operations and exceptional patient experiences.
  • Oversee RSS programming andfacilitateengagement throughout the facility.
  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, and training RSS staff.
  • Review rounding reports, incident reports, and weekly contraband logs, addressing issues as needed.
  • Ensure consistent oversight during evenings and weekends through collaboration with clinical and nursing leaders.
  • Uphold best practices in 12-Step modalities, DBT, MAT, MI, and behavior modification strategies.
  • Perform other job-related duties, including occasional transport of patients or belongings.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving record

Preferred:

  • Associate degree or higher
  • Certification (BHT, CADC, CRADC, CRS, CPRS, CFRS, or eligible)
  • 3+ years' experience in behavioral health or substance use treatment as an RSS, BHT, MHT, or similar
  • Experience supervising or leading small teams

Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiencywith MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving abilities
  • Understanding of clinical and recovery-support modalities (12-Step, DBT, MAT, MI)
  • Ability to analyze data trends to improve patient safety and staff performance
  • Adaptability and flexibility in response to changing conditions

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Active role requiring frequent walking, standing, and patient interaction within a treatment facility
  • Use of standard office equipment (computers, phones, tablets, scanners)
  • Moderate noise level
  • Ability to occasionallylift upto 25lbs
  • Local travel during business hours; occasional overnight travel may berequired
