Job description

Construction Quality Control Manager - Pensacola, FL
RQ Construction, LLC is currently seeking an experienced Construction Quality Control Manager (CQCM) for a project on a military base in Pensacola, FL. This position will work a swing shift from 3:00 PM - 12:00 AM.
While preference may be given to candidates who are local to the project area, we are also open to traveling QCM candidates. Relocation or travel should be expected, as this is a fully on-site position. The anticipated duration of the project is approximately 6-8 months, and per diem may be available for qualified traveling candidates.
The CQCM is responsible for developing, coordinating, and executing a project-specific quality control plan that meets all contractual requirements. This role also includes ensuring proper implementation of quality standards, maintaining accurate and timely documentation, and fostering strong client relationships to ensure overall satisfaction. All responsibilities are carried out in alignment with RQ's core mission, vision, and values.
Compensation and Benefits:
  • $110,000 - $165,000 annually
  • Medical, dental, and vision coverage; 401(k) with company match; auto allowance

Minimum Qualifications:
  • A BA/BS degree in Industrial/Construction/Electrical/ Mechanical/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field is the minimum formal education preferred for this position. A combination of equivalent work experience and training in the field may be qualifying
  • A combined total of 10+ years (or equivalent) of experience in the commercial construction industry, serving in roles such as Superintendent, Quality Control Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer
  • At least 2 years of direct experience working as a Quality Control Manager
  • Current USACE Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification required; RMS/QCS system knowledge preferred (training available)
  • Additional specialty inspection certifications or licenses are strongly desired
    • LEED AP, AP+, or Green Associate credentials are a plus
    • Required certifications include EM 385-1-1 Level 1, CPR, First Aid, and OSHA 30-hour (training can be provided if needed)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, email platforms, and general internet use is required
    • Familiarity with construction management software such as Viewpoint/Vista and RMS/QCS is preferred
