Summary:

Skagit Regional Health has an opening for a fellowship trained Colorectal Surgeon to join our established program in Mount Vernon, Washington. Highlights:

  • Join our well established surgical program in Mount Vernon, Washington. Work alongside our 5 elective surgeons, 3 acute care surgeons, and 6 PAs.
  • This role offers an exciting opportunity to be involved in a thriving group with a robust surgical practice with the option of utilizing our da Vinci Xi Robot and have designated, blocked OR time at Skagit Valley Hospital and our newly opened Surgical Center, both located conveniently adjacent to the clinic.
  • Position will include seeing a mix of general and colorectal cases. Blocked time in Endoscopy available.
  • Occasional overnight general surgery call (1-2 times per month) required.
  • This is a hospital employed position with support from an existing in house primary and specialty care providers.
  • 24/7 reliable hospitalists onsite with support available from specialists throughout Skagit Regional Health.
  • Integrated EPIC EMR platform utilized system-wide throughout the organization with newly implemented ambient AI technology (Abridge) available!

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an ACGME accredited fellowship program. Must be board certified/board eligible.
  • 2-4 years of experience outside of training preferred; however, new graduates are encouraged to apply!
  • Active Washington State license or ability to obtain a Washington State license before start.
  • The ideal candidate will place a priority on quality of care, patient experience and collaboration.
  • Our ideal candidate will be focused on building lasting relationships with their patients as well as strong ties within the community.
