Position Description
The Overnight Care Staff is responsible for providing services to children and adolescents as determined with the interdisciplinary treatment team. The position provides quality youth care and close intensive supervision of clients in a residential treatment setting. This includes a range of residential services, tracking and reporting on residentโs treatment progress, and serving as a positive role model for behavior.
This is a full-time position with a consistent schedule of four nights per week (Friday-Monday), 10:00 pm-8:00 am.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Supervise residents and ensure their safety during bedtime hours.
- Complete routine visual checks on all residents at least every 30 minutes through the duration of the overnight shift, and more frequently as needed based on residentsโ needs, their treatment plan, and Northwest Passage Policies and Procedures.
- Complete nightly documentation of overnight checks and significant information about residents.
- Assure that the living environment is maintained in good repair to promote positive health and hygiene for the residents.
- Assure residentsโ basic needs are met.
- Assure residentsโ emotional needs are met in accordance with the individual treatment or assessment plan.
- Recognize and adjust communication to meet residentsโ needs.
Qualifications
- High school diploma, or equivalent
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with others from diverse backgrounds
- Demonstrated reliability, with an ability to follow through on commitments and expectations
- Strong problem-solving and observation skills
- All applicants are subject to criminal history background checks and reference checks
