Job description

Senior Trademark & Brand Protection Specialist
  • Everpure is looking for a proactive & seasoned Senior Trademark & Brand Protection Specialist to take ownership of our global trademark portfolio, marketing collateral review, and partner directly with our Marketing and Sales teams to safeguard our brand identity. In this highly collaborative position, you will serve as the primary legal bridge for cross-functional brand protection efforts, driving proactive enforcement, trademark prosecution, and marketing collateral review across our growing technology portfolio. You will play a vital role in elevating the Legal team's daily presence, establishing best-in-class brand protection frameworks, and protecting Everpureโ€™s brand worldwide.
  • Optimize Trademark Docketing & Portfolio Intelligence: Build and maintain a comprehensive tracking system that records historic mark clearances, prior company uses, and product specifications to streamline prosecution, renewals, and audit readiness.
  • Drive Global Enforcement & Marketplace Monitoring: Execute continuous marketplace surveillance and weekly watch notice reviews to identify threats, evaluating and collaborating on administrative actions such as letters of protest, oppositions, or TTAB proceedings to defend Everpureโ€™s brand worldwide.
  • Partner with Marketing & Sales Teams: Serve as the designated legal point of contact for routine marketing collateral reviews, promotion and contest rules, and brand use queries to ensure compliance with FTC guidelines and tech industry standards.
  • Manage Outside Counsel & Legal Operations: Oversee external counsel workflows, monitor global trademark filing spend, and evaluate performance metrics to ensure efficient execution of international filing strategies, including Madrid Protocol filings.
  • Gather Legal Evidence & Track Industry Trends: Systematically track company commercial activities to collect specimens of use for USPTO filings while serving as an internal subject matter expert on market shifts and brand protection trends.
  • In-Office Expectation: We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Everpureโ€™s policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
Requirements
  • 8+ years of experience as a trademark and brand protection paralegal.
  • Trademark Prosecution & Administrative Practice: Demonstrable experience preparing and managing USPTO trademark filings, responses to office actions, letters of protest, and Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) proceedings.
  • Global Portfolio & Docket Management: Proven capability in managing large-scale, international trademark dockets using platforms such as IPFolio, Saegis, or Compumark Watch, alongside practical knowledge of the Madrid Protocol and multi-jurisdictional filing strategies.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration & Marketing Review: Strong expertise in reviewing B2B marketing collateral against FTC Endorsement Guides and industry compliance standards, with a track record of building trusted partnerships across Sales and Marketing organizations.
  • Legal Tech & Workflow Proficiency: Experience working within modern productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Slack, Asana, and Figma.
