Job description

POSITION: 10 Month full-time hourly.
 
HOURS OF WORK: Must be available to work flexible hours including, early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES: The CMA Resident Director lives in a private apartment located in the boys barracks. The Resident Director works with the counselor and Military Mentor to ensure the boys' well-being in their barracks. They also have the primary responsibility for overnight supervision of the students in the barracks. The Resident Director aids the counselor in assignment, oversight, and mentoring of student leaders and serves as co-advisor to the barracks committee. They are accountable for ensuring necessary documentation is obtained for student permits and leaves, observing wardrobe regulations, and maintaining proper study conditions. The Resident Director is also responsible for their assigned barracks' condition, security, and safety.
 
REQUIREMENTS: Resident Directors will be caring, mature, and thoroughly enjoy interacting with high school-age students. Must possess a High School Diploma, have excellent interpersonal skills, and strong verbal and writing abilities to communicate with Academy staff, students, and parents. 
 
The successful candidate must be willing and able to live in a private apartment in the boys' barracks. The position enjoys the benefits of a year-round rent-free apartment, free meals in the Dining Hall, and limited laundry and dry-cleaning services.Â
