Auto Parts Warehouse Associate (Night Shift)

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Location: Claremont, NC (Full-time/On-site)

Hourly Rate: $19/hour, plus overtime opportunity

Work Hours: 7:00 PM – 3:00 AM

Matlock's Used Cars and Parts is looking for a dependable Night Shift Warehouse Associate to help keep parts moving after hours. You'll pick and prep nightly work orders, operate a forklift to move and stage parts, and load outgoing trucks accurately and safely so deliveries are ready to roll the next morning.


This is a full-time, physically active position that's a great fit for someone who takes pride in doing things right, works well with minimal supervision, and doesn't mind a quieter, faster-moving overnight environment. You'll work with a wide variety of automotive parts and equipment, and you'll have the opportunity to learn new skills along the way, including forklift operation, with training provided.


We're looking for someone who shows up ready to work, pays close attention to detail, and takes pride in helping the team hit its nightly shipping deadlines.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

•     Pick parts and materials for nightly orders and deliveries

•     Prep and stage work orders for shipping and pickup

•     Operate a forklift to move, load, and stage parts and materials (training provided)

•     Load trucks accurately and safely for outgoing deliveries

•     Verify orders against pick tickets and shipping paperwork

•     Unload and move incoming parts and materials as needed

•     Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area

•     Work with the team to meet nightly shipping deadlines

 

Physical Requirements

•     Ability to lift and move 75+ lbs.

•     Ability to stand and move around the warehouse for the duration of the shift

•     Ability to work in varying temperatures and comfortably overnight

 

Minimum Qualifications

•     Reliable attendance and punctuality

•     Strong attention to detail and ability to follow directions

•     Ability to work well with other associates as part of a team

•     Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening

 

Preferred Qualifications

•     Previous warehouse, picking, loading, or forklift experience

•     Familiarity with automotive parts or the automotive industry

•     Previous experience in a physically demanding, hands-on role
