Now in its third generation of family leadership, Matlock’s has built its reputation on knowing its customers and its inventory better than anyone else in the region and on treating employees like family.

Job Summary

If you like hands-on work, staying active, and a job that doesn’t keep you doing the same thing all day, this could be a great fit.

Matlock's Used Cars and Parts is seeking an Auto Parts Warehouse Associate. You'll play an important role in keeping parts moving; locating sold automotive parts, inspecting them for quality, preparing and packaging them for customers, and stocking incoming parts in the warehouse.

This is a full-time, physically active position that's a great fit for someone who enjoys working with their hands, takes pride in doing things right, and likes being part of a team. You'll work with a wide variety of automotive parts and equipment, and you'll have the opportunity to learn new skills along the way, including forklift operations, with training provided.

We're looking for someone who shows up ready to work, pays attention to the details, and isn't afraid to get their hands dirty.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Locate and remove sold parts from stocked warehouse location
  • Ensure parts are clean and meet quality standards
  • Inspect parts for damage and promptly communicate any issues to the appropriate team member
  • Properly package parts for safe storage and transport
  • Operate a forklift (training provided)
  • Inspect, prepare, and stock parts in warehouse locations
  • Work on various projects to keep the warehouse clean and orderly

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move 75+ lbs.
  • Ability to stand and move around the warehouse for the duration of the shift
  • Ability to work in varying temperatures

Minimum Qualifications

  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work well with other associates as part of a team
  • Dependable, with a strong commitment to showing up on time and doing quality work

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehouse, inventory, material handling, or automotive parts experience
  • Familiarity with automotive parts or the automotive industry
  • Previous experience in a physically demanding, hands-on role
  • Experience safely handling, moving, stocking, or packaging heavy items
  • Previous forklift experience or familiarity with warehouse equipment
