Title: OutSystems & Agentic AI Developer

Duration: 12 Months - Long Term

Location: Washington, DC 20433

Front-end Developer (OutSystems & Agentic AI)

Role Summary

The Front-end Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining user-facing application components using OutSystems, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and modern frontend

practices. The role focuses on delivering responsive, accessible, and high-performing user interfaces that align with design standards, Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG)

requirements, and enterprise delivery expectations. The developer will collaborate closely with product owners, designers, backend developers, and stakeholders to translate business needs

into intuitive digital experiences, while leveraging AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, documentation, and continuous improvement.

 

Desired Qualifications and Skills:

  • 3–5 years of experience in frontend development, with 1+ years working on the OutSystems platform.
  • Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript, with solid command of at least one frontend framework (React, Vue, or Angular).
  • Experience in Accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Understanding of OutSystems development and design systems (experience contributing to a design system is a plus).
  • Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools (code generation, refactoring, documentation) and critically evaluating AI-generated output.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, capable of presenting ideas and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously while being a team player.
  • Knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Adaptable, eager to learn, and motivated to grow professionally.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • OutSystems certifications (a plus).
  • Experience testing and developing standard OutSystems components.
  • Working knowledge of WCAG standards and ability to apply best practices in day-to-day development.
  • Proficiency in collaboration and project management tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Figma).
  • Experience contributing to or maintaining a design system.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted workflows for frontend development, including using AI to scaffold components, suggest optimizations, and automate repetitive tasks.
  • Experience using AI tools to perform structured code reviews, identifying issues in performance, accessibility, and best practices.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Discovery & Requirements: Participate in discovery sessions to understand department needs and translate them into frontend solutions, bridging stakeholders and development teams.
  • Design System & Components: Build, document, and maintain reusable UI components, ensuring they follow design principles, accessibility standards, and are optimized for AI-assisted workflows.
  • Frontend Development: Independently write and maintain complex frontend code in OutSystems (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript), ensuring performance, cross-browser compatibility, and WCAG compliance.
  • OutSystems Expertise: Utilise OutSystems to build, customize, and optimize frontend components.
  • AI-Augmented Development: Use AI coding assistants to accelerate dqevelopment, validate output against quality standards, and share effective AI practices with the team.
  • Testing & Quality: Design and execute testing strategies (unit, integration, acceptance), participate in code reviews, and resolve frontend issues independently.
  • Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve frontend issues and bugs efficiently.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay current with frontend technologies, OutSystems updates, and emerging best practices. Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and team retrospectives.
  • Collaboration & Mentorship: Collaborate actively with designers, backend developers, and product stakeholders. Support junior developers through code reviews and knowledge-sharing.
