Job description

Are you looking for the next step in your career? We are hiring an Outside Sales Associate for a saw and blade manufacturer in Northeast Portland! This is a great opportunity to gain industrial sales experience while receiving comprehensive training and support!

Pay: $22 per hour
Location: Northeast Portland  
Shift: Days 8am to 5pm
Position type: Temp-to-hire
 
Position Highlights

  • Industrial sales training and support from your team 
  • Once you are hired onto staff there is an additional 5% sales bonus ($200-$500 monthly)!

Some of what you will be doing:
  • Develop new business opportunities throughout the assigned territory.
  • Maintain and expand relationships with existing commercial accounts.
  • Conduct regular customer visits to understand production processes and identify cutting tool opportunities.
  • Recommend saw blades, router bits, cold saw blades, diamond tooling, drills, and custom tooling solutions based on customer applications.
  • Educate customers on proper blade selection, maintenance, sharpening schedules, and cost-saving practices.
  • Coordinate commercial pickup and delivery services for sharpening and tooling repairs.
  • Prepare quotations and follow up on customer inquiries.
  • Collaborate with inside sales and production teams to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Identify opportunities to convert competitors' accounts.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, customer visit notes, and sales pipeline activity.
  • Represent company at industry events, trade shows, and customer demonstrations when appropriate.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitive products, and customer needs.
Requirements:
  • Experience in industrial sales or customer support 
  • Driver’s License and MVR check 
  • Ability to successfully pass a background check
  • Basic computer proficiency including email, Excel, and Word
