Description Summary
Promotes B.Y.O.T. Auto Parts' Company Culture as a team player to help the team achieve its productivity goals while maintaining a high level of safety, integrity, appearance, professionalism, and attention to detail. As part of an efficient and safety conscience team, prepares vehicles for various recycling processes and positioning.

Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Wear required Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all EPA and OSHA regulations.
  • Remove all fluids, lubricants, and recyclable components such as catalytic converters, batteries, sensors, etc., in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Prepare vehicles for placement in the yard.
  • Assist in the relocation of vehicles from the drain rack to the customer parts yard.
  • Remove trash and miscellaneous items from vehicles prior to moving to the processing area.
  • Remove batteries and test for condition for resale.
  • Move various items such as batteries, wheels, and tires to the retail sales area.
  • Inspect the customer yard for loose parts on the ground and place into vehicles or bins.
  • Forklift and/or Loader operation (training may be provided).
  • Remove tires from rims.
  • Stage tires and rims to the proper location.
  • Assist in the loading of shipping trucks.
  • Comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with co-workers and customers.
  • Must have flexibility to work variable schedules, including weekends
  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in automotive part/product identification.

High School Graduate or equivalent.

Experience in an industrial setting

Ability to safely use industrial tools and equipment.

Physical Activities Required to Perform Essential Functions:

  • Ability to work 100% outside
  • Standing, walking, bending, climbing, and stretching for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Manual dexterity for handling tools and the ability to lift and move 50 pounds.
  • Vision must be sufficient to perform job functions safely.

Job Conditions:

  • Exposure on a regular basis to outdoor weather conditions.
  • Periodic exposure to minimal chemical hazards.
