Job Summary
The Outside Services Attendant is responsible for providing outstanding customer service to members and guests at the club. This position supports the golf operations team by assisting with essential outside services, such as bag handling, cart preparation, range operations, and maintaining the cleanliness of work areas. The attendant is responsible for staging and storing golf carts, ensuring they are clean, functional, and ready for use. Additionally, the role involves providing various golf-related services, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all golfers.
Reporting Structure
โ€ข Reports to the Supervisor Outside Services
Day to Day
โ€ข Assist golfers by loading and unloading bags, preparing them for play, answering questions, offering golf course etiquette suggestions, and providing post-round support, including cleaning clubs and delivering them to cars as needed.
โ€ข Promote club events, course conditions, and relevant information to enhance the member/guest experience and ensure they enjoy all the amenities.
โ€ข Marshal carts in the staging area, assign them to players, track their usage, and ensure carts are cleaned, well-maintained, and inspected for damage. Report any issues to the Golf Shop.
โ€ข Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the cart barn, storage areas, practice facilities, and external spaces such as the parking lot and pro shop entrance, ensuring they are neat, safe, and free of debris.
โ€ข Set up and manage practice areas, ensuring they are stocked with equipment such as range balls and prepared for daily use.
โ€ข Collaborate with other golf operations staff, including range attendants, marshals, and starters, to ensure seamless, efficient service throughout the day.
โ€ข Complete daily assignments in designated areas, ensuring all tasks meet club standards, including maintaining work areas and keeping the Golf Shop organized and fully stocked.
Additional Duties
โ€ข Due to the dynamic nature of the club, employees are expected to assist others as needed and take on additional tasks as assigned by management.
โ€ข Follow all company, club, and department policies, procedures, and instructions.
โ€ข Maintain a high level of professionalism and a commitment to excellence in interactions with members, colleagues, and staff.
โ€ข Follow safe working practices, ensuring compliance with safety guidelines and encouraging others to do the same.
โ€ข Take the initiative in personal and professional growth and maintain any required certifications relevant to your role.
โ€ข Address and resolve challenges using available resources, working with regional and corporate teams to support club operations.
โ€ข Attend daily briefings and actively engage in required activities to stay informed and contribute to the team's success.
About You
Preferred
โ€ข High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
โ€ข Prior experience in a similar role or strong knowledge of golf.
โ€ข Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with members, guests, and staff.
โ€ข Strong knowledge of golf etiquette, rules, and best practices.
โ€ข A positive attitude and commitment to providing outstanding service.
โ€ข High attention to detail and reliability.
Physical Requirements
โ€ข Primarily outdoors with frequent exposure to extreme hot or cold temperatures and humidity.
โ€ข Sitting, standing, walking, climbing/ladders, squatting/kneeling, reaching, grasping, pushing/pulling, twisting/bending, lifting/carrying up to 100 lbs., talking, hearing, and seeing.

โ€ข Golf Clubs & Bag 40 - 50 lbs.

Work Schedule
โ€ข Adherence to attendance requirements as outlined in the weekly schedule.
โ€ข Flexibility to work additional hours as needed to meet position deadlines.
