St. Louis Children's Hospital is seeking a Pediatric Dentist to join the Healthy Kids Express Dental Program, an innovative mobile outreach program dedicated to providing high-quality dental care to children throughout the St. Louis region. You'll have the opportunity to build relationships with schools and community organizations while delivering care that truly changes lives.

Practice Details
  • Pediatric Dentistry Fellowship Required
  • Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
  • First patient scheduled at 9:00 a.m.
  • One community site per day
  • Approximately 40-50 sites visited annually
  • Occasional evening and weekend community events during outreach season

Role Purpose

Diagnose, prevent and treat problems with teeth or mouth tissue. This role must have a Pediatric Dentistry certificate from an accredited program in the U.S. or Canada and be eligible to be certified for a specialty license for pediatric dentistry.

Responsibilities

  • Observes, evaluates, and applies knowledge of dental skills to provide optimal patient care. Diagnoses amd renders appropriate dental care to patients. Fulfills dental consulting requests.
  • Records all procedures and pertinent information in patients record.
  • Trains, supervises and evaluates the work of clinic staff.
  • Establishes and maintains effective working relationships with superiors, associates, representatives of public agencies and organizations, and private health care providers.
  • Educates individuals and their families regarding dental health hygiene.
