PRN Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Clayton Endoscopy Center – Clayton, NC
Position Type: PRN / As‑Needed

About the Role

Clayton Endoscopy Center is seeking a PRN Endoscopy Registered Nurse (RN) to support safe, efficient, and compassionate patient care throughout the endoscopy process. This is an excellent opportunity for nurses seeking flexible, as‑needed work in a focused procedural environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Provide nursing care throughout the endoscopy process, from patient preparation through post‑procedure monitoring
  • Support patient care activities in the procedure room and collaborate with physicians and the care team
  • Verify patient identity and procedure using approved safety and time‑out protocols
  • Prepare procedure rooms, equipment, instruments, and supplies based on patient and procedure needs
  • Assist with safe patient positioning and continuous monitoring during procedures
  • Administer medications per physician orders
  • Accurately document patient care and procedural details in accordance with policy
  • Handle, label, and log tissue specimens according to established procedures
  • Ensure instruments and supplies meet high‑level disinfection and sterilization standards
  • Support efficient room turnover and appropriate use of supplies
  • Provide patient education, comfort, and reassurance while maintaining privacy and dignity
  • Perform other duties as assigned
