Job Title: Bartender
Location: The Sea Pines Resort - Food & Beverage Outlets
Department: Food & Beverage
Reports To: Outlet Manager / Bar Manager
Job Summary
The Bartender is responsible for preparing and serving beverages while delivering exceptional guest service in alignment with The Sea Pines Resort standards and Forbes Travel Guide expectations. This role ensures a clean, organized, and engaging bar environment while maintaining accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with all beverage service regulations.
Essential Functions
Guest Service & Experience
  • Greet guests in a warm and professional manner
  • Provide attentive, personalized service and anticipate guest needs
  • Take beverage orders and make recommendations based on product knowledge
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and visually appealing bar area

Beverage Preparation
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to recipes and standards
  • Maintain consistency in drink quality, presentation, and portioning
  • Verify guest age and comply with all alcohol service laws
  • Monitor guest consumption and practice responsible alcohol service

Operations
  • Accurately enter orders into POS system and process payments (cash, credit, room charge)
  • Maintain bar inventory levels, restock supplies, and notify management of shortages
  • Complete opening and closing duties, including setup, breakdown, and cleaning
  • Follow all health, safety, and sanitation standards

Teamwork
  • Communicate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, and leadership
  • Support team members to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Assist with training new employees as needed

Qualifications
  • Previous bartending experience preferred
  • Knowledge of basic mixology, spirits, beer, and wine
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
