# Experienced Demolition Lead / Equipment Operator

Location: Orange County, CA  

Job Type: Part-Time / Variable Schedule — Typically Up to 40 Hours Per Week

Established Orange County demolition contractor is looking for an experienced Demolition Lead / Equipment Operator to join our field team.

This is a hands-on position for someone with solid demolition or construction experience who can operate equipment, work efficiently, and take on leadership responsibilities when needed.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, shows up on time, works hard, takes care of equipment, and understands how to get a demolition job completed safely and efficiently.

## Responsibilities

- Perform residential and commercial demolition

- Safely operate demolition and construction equipment based on experience and qualifications

- Assist with leading and directing field crews

- Help organize daily jobsite activities

- Keep projects moving efficiently and safely

- Monitor labor time and job progress

- Load, sort and manage demolition debris

- Assist with trucking and disposal coordination

- Perform daily equipment inspections

- Report equipment problems or needed repairs

- Maintain clean and organized jobsites

- Communicate job progress and issues with management

- Help train less-experienced crew members

- Follow company safety procedures and applicable jobsite requirements

## Qualifications

- Previous demolition or closely related construction experience required

- Equipment operating experience strongly preferred

- Previous crew-lead or leadership experience preferred

- Reliable transportation to assigned work locations

- Dependable and punctual

- Able to work independently and as part of a crew

- Comfortable working outdoors and around heavy equipment

- Able to communicate effectively with management and crew members

- Ability to perform the essential physical functions of demolition work, with reasonable accommodation where required

- Valid driver's license preferred

## Schedule

This position is classified as part-time/variable schedule, but employees may typically work up to approximately 40 hours per week when projects and weather conditions permit.

Demolition is outdoor, project-based work, so weekly hours are not guaranteed and may fluctuate because of weather, project schedules, customer requirements, permitting, or other jobsite conditions.

Candidates should have flexible Monday-through-Friday availability and understand that some weeks may have fewer hours than others.

## Compensation

Competitive hourly pay based on demolition experience, equipment-operating ability, leadership experience and qualifications.
